Gloria Balensi, like a precious kiss

Our favorite of the new session of the Bijorhca show was the refined and poetic jewelry of Gloria Balensi, who exhibited her creations for the first time, with already a lot of professionalism and enthusiasm.

The nugget of the fall

Every time I visit a trade show, I love that moment when my eye sparkles at the sight of a new brand. The discovery of new creations is always exciting and trade shows are often an opportunity to meet the designers and share their inspirations.

Originally Gloria Balensi is a leather goods and fashion accessories brand created in Lyon, in 2018. The orange mouth, the brand's singular and iconic logo, was thought of and designed by the designer, who accentuated the tips of the upper lip to evoke the letter M of "Muse," the brand's DNA word. Her identifiable style and multiple creations are available in a wide range of pop and pastel colors, allowing her leather goods to match the color of her lipstick.

As for the manufacturing of her collections, craftsmanship is at the heart of her company, she essentially collaborates with human-sized manufacturers. With its sense of detail and its requirement on the finishes and materials, the brand intends to compose a new creative and singular wardrobe.

Today, Gloria Balensi has taken the plunge and launched her first collection of fine gold-plated costume jewelry to adorn women like Muses, as she likes to emphasize.

Composed of twenty-five models, the collection of necklaces, bracelets and chains is beautifully adorned with fine stones in drop form. These refined jewels are an ode to femininity and to the uniqueness of each woman.

An ancient Greco-Roman inspiration

This collection was conceived and designed in Paris with inspiration from the ancient Greco-Roman jewellery worn by women of that era. This inspiration is illustrated through the subtle hammering of each piece of jewelry as well as their mat gold specially created by the designer to evoke the color of the gold nugget, the gold of the ancients, the gold of the Greeks, the gold of the pharaohs.

The drop shape of the stones and the name given to the jewels, OLYMPE, HÉRA, NAYA, AVA and VÉNUS also underline the evocation of the ancient Greco-Roman era. These five models of jewelry are made of hammered brass dipped in a bath of gold 18k-750/1000th, 1 micron, without nickel and therefore without risk of allergy. Gloria Balensi works hand in hand with a family workshop based in India, the cradle of fine and precious stones from all over the world, then for its expertise in jewelry.

Five variations of fine stones

The five models are each declined in five different gemstones:

- Moonstone or stone of harmony and fertility

- Black onyx or stone of strength and self-esteem

- Green onyx or stone of health, stability and security

- Pink quartz or stone of peace and love

- Lapis lazuli or stone of communication and emotions

Particular signs of the brand: for the necklaces a chain closure where we find the Bouche logo, signature of the brand in the form of charm and a fine stone set.

And we are not the only ones to have spotted this nugget, since the collection has been selected by the CHALLANGEL and WHO'S NEXT Jury to be present at the last BIJORHCA 2021 show
